Note: Doors are heavy; use caution when removing them. Turn the ignition to the accessory mode position. Fully open the windows on the doors being removed. Turn the ignition to the off position. Fold mirrors forward completely before removing the front doors. Fully open the door being removed. Locate the fender and door protectors in the tool pouch; install one over the fender edge near the upper door hinge and the other on the door edge near the bottom door hinge; see your Owner’s Manual for specific placement. Open the wire connector door to release the connector, then pull the connector from the body. Make sure the connector door is seated in the closed position. Place the door storage bag on the door being removed, if equipped. Using the provided hex tool, loosen and remove the lower hinge bolt. Loosen and remove the upper hinge bolt. Lift the door vertically, using the lower lift handle and exterior door handle to separate it from the vehicle. Secure bag by zipping it shut.

OPTION 1: PROGRAM YOUR KEY If you already have two previously programmed keys, you can program your own coded keys using the procedures outlined in your Owner’s Manual under: “Programming a Spare Intelligent Access Key” or “Programming a Spare Integrated Keyhead Transmitter.” OPTION 2: PURCHASE A KEY You can also purchase spare keys from your Ford Dealer. The cost of a new key varies. For additional information, contact your dealer. For security reasons, you must visit the dealer in person and provide proof of identification and vehicle ownership: Personal Identification such as a valid Driver’s License or a state-issued picture I.D. Vehicle documentation with the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and the name of the person seeking the key codes. Examples could include a current Vehicle Registration, current Certificate of Automobile Insurance, Vehicle Title, or Bill of Sale.
